Tiger Greats: J-Shun Harris II

One of the best athletes Fishers Tigers has seen is J-Shun Harris II and he amazed Tiger fans every time the ball was put in play while he was on the field.  J-Shun played for the Tigers 2010-2013, lettering all 4 years in football and track.

As a Tiger, J-Shun Harris was an as exciting a player on field we have seen. At the 2012 Anderson sectional game, "Harris completely juked and fooled a defender to make an improbable big gain catch that showed his superior ability on the field and left us in awe of his talent", said one fan privileged to witness from the visiting section on that rainy and muddy night.  That night, the Tigers would win 27-14 in tough conditions and roll onto the regional match up against Ft. Wayne Snider.

The skill to the ball and the endzone that Harris exhibited thrilled fans and we knew this compact player was able to play at any level.  Harris' career at Fishers ended holding many team records and he was spotted by Coach Kevin Wilson's IU staff for a scholarship offer that Harris accepted above other opportunities to play football at the next level.

Harris' freshman campaign at IU resulted in 18 catches for 168 yards and 2 TDs, 19 kick returns for 391 yards and a career game high of 7 cactches for 68 yards and a 22 yard TD at Bowling Green against fellow Tiger and good friend Brian Sutton, another Tiger legend to be featured here soon.
Sorry Sutty!

Harris experienced an ACL injury during spring 2015 that put him out of the season and into rehab. We understand his recovery has been exceptional and we look forward to his time on the field heading into the 2016 BigTen football season for Harris and and we know he carries the Tiger pride into every Hoosier game.  Here is a fun video recently of J-Shun catching 5 punts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdyIYZe1kiE
