Week 3 In The Books With Win Over Noblesville

Week 1 - win over North Central 28-0
Week 2 - win over Pike 20-8
Week 3 - conference win #1 over Noblesville 38-13 - article in The Times and boxcore.

Players of week 3:
Offense - Trevor Newman, 14-96, TD
Defense - Jalen Moss and Shawn Taylor
Special Teams - Colton Thomas and Taylor Soper

Conference Table after Week 3 and quick thoughts of the road to come:

Fishers defense continues to impress and we can only hope this intensity and results continue as we enter the heart of conference play and big week against rivals HSE Royals.  HSE surprised many with victory with Avon, bringing Avon down to earth a little bit more.  Prior to the HSE loss, Avon was looking to be the team to beat and they still may very well be.

Week 3 breakout player was running back Trevor Newman rushing 14 times for 96 yards and a TD against Noblesville.  Kicking game and special teams showed great improvement and will be crucial over the season.

Rivalry week comes with expected anticipation and these are the games that are meant to be won!  RJ Potts will be returning from suspension after the targeting disqualification in the Pike game and we can only hope his return will bring something to prove to HSE and the defense will feed off that fuel he will no doubt provide.  The offensive line for the Tigers will need to be at the top of their game against the Royals, minimizing mistakes and maximizing protection.

Go Tigers!
